Maintenance Remove spent flowers which will encourage further blooms. Prune foliage hard each winter. When new growth appears in spring fertilise. Dry to moderate soil moisture.
Position Full sun.
Uses A tough and very striking plant for cottage and herb gardens. Great for colourful sunny perennial borders. Frost hardy.
Climate

Purple Coneflowers are grown for their showy summer and autumn flowers. The large daisy-like, purple flowers have high bright orange cones in the centre. The blooms are long lasting and excellent as cut flowers.
