Flowering  Beautiful purple flowers in abundance from late spring, into summer and autumn.
Size Grows to 60cm high x 1 m wide.
Maintenance Remove spent flowers to encourage repeat flowering. Prune back hard a the start of spring to allow new growth. Fertilise when planting and in spring.
Position Thrives in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist well drained soil. Easy to grow, drought, heat & coastal tolerant. Will tolerate light frosts. Attractive to birds, bees and butterflies.
Uses A very hardy perennial which can be grown as a border, to line pathways, informal hedges, as a mass planting or mixed with other perennials to form a lovely cottage garden or in container gardens and pots.
